VNY 2020 in Malaysia

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia organised a special programme in the Malaysian capital in order to encourage Malaysians to visit Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia organised a special programme in the Malaysian capital in order to encourage Malaysians to visit Nepal.


The event was held today to mark the beginning of the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture of Malaysia Datuk Mohamaddin Bin Ketapi was the chief guest of the programme.


Also present at the event were officers of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry and other departments, government and non-government organisations concerning tourism, companies running air service between Malaysia and Nepal, travel and hotel entrepreneurs and businesspersons as well as media persons, according to the Embassy.


Extending best wishes to Nepal for VNY 2020, Malaysian Minister Ketapi emphasized on the need to enhance productivity, publicity, market strategy, human resource development and use of new technologies for tourism development.


Nepali Ambassador to Malaysia Udaya Raj Pandey shed light on the tourism opportunities in Nepal and expressed the readiness to work for tourism promotion between the two countries.
