Viral epidemic grips Hetauda

Hetaunda, Aug 12: An epidemic of viral fever has gripped some villages in Makwanpur and the Hetaunda Municipality area recently.



With an outbreak of the epidemic, the number of viral patients visiting the Hetaunda Hospital seeking treatment has soared.[break]



According to the District Health Office Makwanpur, around 30-35 patients flock to the hospital daily for treatment.



Patients are being treated by keeping them at the In-Patient Department and the Emergency Ward, said the hospital source.



It is learnt that consumption of polluted water in the rainy season is the cause of an outbreak of the disease.



The hospital has been facing difficulty to manage space for viral patients, it is learnt.
