KATHMANDU, Dec 30:Nirakar Pandey of Birtamod-1, Jhapa, who had gone to Cambodia on a vacation, jumped off the 12th floor of Grand Diamond City Hotel and Casino in Poipet after the building caught fire. He died in the incident but a video message he sent to his son back in Nepal minutes before jumping off the 18-story building has gone viral.
Pandey jumped off the building in an apparent bid to save himself from the fire. Before the jump, he had a one-and-a-half-hour video chat on Viber with various members of his family in Jhapa, after he lost the hope of survival.
