Value of US dollar along with most other foreign currencies rise

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. As per the rates determined by the central bank, the value of the US dollar has risen, along with most other foreign currencies.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. As per the rates determined by the central bank, the value of the US dollar has risen, along with most other foreign currencies.


The buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 137.03, and the selling rate is Rs 137.63. Similarly, the buying rate for one European euro is Rs 142.68, and the selling rate is Rs 143.31. The buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 171.78, and the selling rate is Rs 172.53. For one Swiss franc, the buying rate is Rs 151.91, and the selling rate is Rs 152.57.


The Australian dollar is valued at a buying rate of Rs 86.08 and a selling rate of Rs 86.09, while the Canadian dollar's buying rate is Rs 95.67, and the selling rate is Rs 96.09. The buying rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 100.69, and the selling rate is Rs 101.13.

For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 8.71, and the selling rate is Rs 8.75. The Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 18.71 and a selling rate of Rs 18.79. The Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 36.49 for buying and Rs 36.65 for selling. Similarly, the Qatari riyal's buying rate is Rs 37.59, and the selling rate is Rs 37.75.


According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 3.98, and the selling rate is Rs 3.99. The UAE dirham is set at a buying rate of Rs 37.31 and a selling rate of Rs 37.47. The Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 30.38 and a selling rate of Rs 30.51.


The South Korean won (per 100) is valued at a buying rate of Rs 9.40 and a selling rate of Rs 9.44. The Swedish krona is bought at Rs 12.45 and sold at Rs 12.51; the Danish krone is bought at Rs 19.13 and sold at Rs 19.22.


The Hong Kong dollar's buying rate is Rs 17.63, and the selling rate is Rs 17.70. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at a buying rate of Rs 444.59 and a selling rate of Rs 446.54. The Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 363.50 and a selling rate of Rs 365.09. For the Omani riyal, the buying rate is Rs 355.92, and the selling rate is Rs 357.48.


The buying rate for the Indian Rupee is Rs 160 for every 100, and the selling rate is Rs 160.15.


Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised at any time, if necessary. It also mentioned that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ and that updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
