US lifts 'travel warning' for Nepal

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepal has been removed from the list of dangerous and unsafe destinations by the United States of America in its travel advisory.



According to a press statement issued by the American embassy in Nepal, the American State Department has lifted the ‘travel warning’ that was issued on January 12. [break]



“The U.S. Embassy is pleased that the overall situation in Nepal has improved to such a degree that this decision could be made,” the statement reads.
