JHAPA, July 4: Menuka Kafle of CPN-UML has been elected as the chairperson of Kamal Rural Municipality of Jhapa district by lucky-draw. Kafle and Hukum Singh Rai of Nepali Congress have scored equal 8275 votes.

As the vote was indecisive, the election office decided to elect the candidate through lucky-draw.
Likewise, Benu Shiwakoti of UML has been elected as the vice-chairperson of the local unit.
