UML will win at least 60 percent seats in local polls: Oli

KATHMANDU, March 15: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that his party will win at least 60 percent seats in the upcoming local level election.

KATHMANDU, March 15: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that his party will win at least 60 percent seats in the upcoming local level election. Addressing the third full meeting of the seventh National Conference Organizing Committee of  Nepal Women Association, Oli claimed that the UML will win with the required majority votes in the upcoming local level election and further asserted that his party does not need anyone’s help to win the election. 


Chairman Oli said that they are ready to compete in the elections as they are in a competitive multi-party system.

Furthermore, Chairman Oli said that Nepal's politics was at a crossroads between the reactionary forces and the forces seeking a mandate. He noted that the ruling four-party alliance represented the reactionary forces. 


On the occasion, he also stressed the need for increasing the members of the Nepal Women Association to 1 million before the upcoming elections. He also gave directions to expand the organization to the village and local committees by following the party's policies, decisions and agendas.
