The ongoing Central Committee meeting of the UML held at the party headquarters in Balkhu on Saturday decided to hold the national convention of the party cadres at the end of next month. The meeting also took a decision to hold the National Representatives´ Council meeting after the CA poll, according to a statement issued by the party. [break]
However, the party has not announced the exact dates for those meetings. The UML also decided to launch a "Terai-centric election campaign" in view of the forthcoming CA election.
Among other things, the CC meeting has endorsed a political paper presented by the UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal. 57 leaders of the party aired their views on Saturday regarding the political paper presented by Khanal. The CC meeting will continue for a next few days. The meeting will resume 11 am Sunday at the party headquarters.
