The ‘emergency’ meeting, however, couldn’t take any significant decision, according to Subash Chandra Nembang, a Standing Committee member.
“We discussed the upcoming by-elections for the vacant seat in the National Assembly,” Nembang said. When asked whether the meeting discussed the party’s possible strategies for May 10, the day PM Oli is scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the lower house of parliament, leader Nembang said that the meeting mainly dwelt on the NA bypolls scheduled for May 20.
