KATHMANDU, Aug 25: CPN-UML has decided to postpone the Secretariat meeting it planned to hold in Siraha.
Head of UML Publicity Department Rajendra Gautam said that the meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday in Ambas of Dhangadhimai Municipality-14 in Siraha has been postponed. He said that the meeting was postponed keeping in view of incessant rainfall that is expected to continue till Saturday
CPN-UML Secretariat meeting rescheduled for August 30
Gautam said that the decision was taken at the eleventh hour as party leaders may face difficulties reaching there as a result of rainfall and landslides. The date of the next meeting will be decided soon.
The UML Secretariat was preparing to hold the meeting at the historic site where the party held a meeting to renounce the Maoist ideology and embrace the ideology propounded by Madan Bhandari.
A 20-member central committee was elected from the convention held from August 25 to August 30, 1989.
