UML makes Nemwang its presidential candidate

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The CPN-UML has picked the party's Vice Chairman and a lawmaker Subash Chandra Nemwang as the presidential candidate.

A meeting of the party held at its central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur on Saturday morning made a decision to this effect. 

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to make the party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel as the presidential candidate.

The Election Commission (EC) has announced a schedule to file nomination of the candidate for the post of president today. The election for the new president is scheduled for March 9.
