UML leader Dhakal's health improving

KATHMANDU, March 30: The health condition of UML politburo member Ram Nath Dhakal, who has been undergoing treatment at Grande International Hospital for swine flu, has improved, UML youth leader Lekhnath Paudel told Republica.

"His chest pain has subsided and respiratory system is functioning much better than before," said Paudel.


Dakal who was admitted at Tokha-based Grande Hospital after complaints of pneumonia was diagnosed with swine flu. He has a low count of white blood cells.

The doctor attending to Dhakal, has referred ailing Dhakal to Delhi-based Apollo Hospital for further treatment.

According to Paudel, Dhakal's nephew, the air ambulance is standby and the patient will be flown to Delhi once the weather improves.

Dhakal had been taking medicine for tuberculosis.
