KATHMANDU, Oct 28: The main opposition CPN-UML has called a meeting of its standing committee today.
The meeting is scheduled at 4:00 PM at Tulsi Lal memorial Foundation, Lalitpur. The main agenda of the meeting is to prepare for the 10th general convention of the party.

According to UML Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting will review the recently-concluded ward and municipal committee conventions and discuss the criteria and schedule for the selection of general convention delegates.
The CPN-UML party concluded the ward committee convention on October 23 and the municipal convention on October 26. The 10th general convention of the CPN-UML is being held in Chitwan from November 26 to 29.
