KATHMANDU, July 17: The Standing Committee meeting of the CPN-UML is scheduled to take place at the Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation building in Lalitpur on Sunday. According to the party’s Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 AM on Sunday.
The meeting is being organized in order to set the agenda for the 15th Central Committee (CC) meeting of the party. The 14th Central Committee meeting was earlier held at the same venue on July 14. The leaders close to senior leader Nepal have also been invited to the CC meeting scheduled for Monday.
UML to form 49-member standing committee (with names)
The UML has decided to hold the Statute Convention from August 9 to August 11. A Standing Committee meeting was held on Friday in which leaders close to senior leader Nepal were not present. The meeting had endorsed the 10-point agreement submitted earlier by the Task Force formed to resolve the differences seen within the party.
