Sanu Shrestha was nominated to the post in the absence of Krsihna Gopal Shrestha, coordinator of the Kathmandu valley committee, as he is contesting the upcoming elections from Kathmandu constituency number 9.[break]
Sanu is deputy coordinator of the Kathmandu valley party committee and was former UML candidate in the constituency number 10 of Kathmandu district. He is also alternative central committee member of the party.
He will look after a total of 15 constituencies are in the Kathmandu valley.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu district committee of the UML has formed 197-member district election mobilization committee.
A meeting held on Sunday under chairmanship of district vice-chairman Krishna Rai also directed the all the members to begin their work in their respective areas.
According to Shiva Bhattarai, chairman of publication committee, the meeting has also formed promotion, economic and monitoring sub-committee.
