SINDHULI, May 19: CPN-UML has clinched victory in two municipalities and one rural municipality. UML candidate Ghana Shyam Raut has been elected at mayor of Dudhauli Municipality. He has garnered 8, 598 votes. His immediate rival Nepali Congress’s Ganga Dahal got 8, 223 votes.

Similarly, UML candidate Khadga Khatri has been elected as mayor of Kamala Municipality with 11,152 votes, informed chief returning officer Parshu Ram Bhattarai.

According to him, his closest rival Upendra Pokharel of NC has got 8,388 votes.

Likewise, UML has won the election race for Phikkal Rural Municipality in the district. UML candidate Dhan Bahadur Karki has got 3, 126 votes. His closest rival Mohan Karki of NC got 2, 727 votes.
