Jhapa, a finalist in all three editions of the tournament, was beaten by Army in the first edition also.

At the final match at TU Cricket Ground, Nepal was invited for batting after losing the toss and made a total of 161 runs losing three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Bangladesh was bowled out for 106 in 18.2 overs.

SINDHULI, May 19: CPN-UML has clinched victory in two municipalities and one rural municipality. UML candidate Ghana Shyam Raut has been elected at mayor of Dudhauli Municipality. He has garnered 8, 598 votes. His immediate rival Nepali Congress’s Ganga Dahal got 8, 223 votes.
MUGU, May 18: Nepali Congress candidate Hari Jung Shahi has been elected to the post of Mayor of Chhayanath Rara Municipality in Mugu district with 3,560 votes.
His closest rival, Jit Bahadur Malla, of CPN (UML) received 3,441 votes.
JAJARKOT, May 18: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Mahendra Bahadur Shaha has been elected as chief of Warekot Rural Municipality. He secured 2, 138 votes. His closes rival Maoist Center’s Tilak Bahadur Rawat got 2,129 votes.
RAMECHHAP, May 17: UML candidate Khadga Bahadur Sunuwar has been elected as chief of Gokulganga Rural Municipality. He has secured 3,551 votes. For the post of deputy chief, UML candidate Radhika Shreshta has been elected with 3,638 votes.
