KATHMANDU, Oct 21: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has canceled his scheduled visit to Bangladesh.



Chairman Oli was scheduled to leave for Dhaka on Friday to attend the 20th conference of the Awami League party.


The visit has been canceled due to the country’s latest political developments, sources said.

Krishna Gopal Shrestha, secretary at the CPN-UML Party Office,  confirmed  the cancelation of Oli’s   visit.


“Our Chairman’s Bangladesh visit has been canceled due to the latest political developments in our country.”


Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar’s Geneva tour was also canceled yesterday. With the impeachment proposal registered in the parliament against the suspended CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki, the Speaker had canceled her scheduled visit to Geneva.


It has been learnt that Oli's scheduled visit to Bangladeshhas been canceled due to the same reason.
