KATHMANDU, August 1: The main opposition CPN (UML) has started a large public demonstration in Kathmandu today protesting against the issue of public concern.

The rally started from different places of the capital in protest against the increase in activities such as inflation and corruption in the country. According to Krishna Gopal Shrestha of the Public Demonstration Organizing Committee, the public demonstration will begin at Basantpur in the afternoon and pass through the inner cities of Pyaphal, Nardevi, Bangemudha, Ason, Bhotahity and reach Shantibatika.

Three districts in the Kathmandu Valley, Special Province and four districts under it, Liaison Committees, People's Organization, MPs, Central Department of the party will participate in the public demonstration.
