U-19 Asia Cup cricket: Nepal at 93 for six against Bangladesh

Currently Nepal’s Uttam Rangu Magar and Naren Saud are on the crease. While Magar has scored 14 runs off 45 balls, Saud has scored 4 runs off 17 balls.

KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Nepal have managed to score 93 runs after losing six wickets by the end of 34.3 overs in their match against Bangladesh that is ongoing under the ACC U-19 Asia Cup cricket tournament in the UAE.


Currently Nepal’s Uttam Rangu Magar and Naren Saud are on the crease. While Magar has scored 14 runs off 45 balls, Saud has scored 4 runs off 17 balls. 


However, Mayan Yadav was dismissed for four runs and Arjun Kumal was out for zero runs. Similarly, Naren Bhatta was sent to pavilion for 4 runs, Aakash Tripathi for 43, Santosh Yadav for 7 and Roshan Bishwakarma for 2 runs.

In the UAE's Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh captain Azizul Hakim won the toss and opted to field first, inviting Nepal to bat first. 


The Nepali Men’s U-19 team lost to Sri Lanka by 55 runs in the first match of ACC Men's Under-19 Asia Cup held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE on Friday.


Nepal, the UAE, and Japan qualified by finishing in the top three of the ACC Premier Cup held in Malaysia last year. In that competition, Nepal  became the champion by defeating the UAE in the final last October.


The eight teams participating in the tournament are divided into two groups. Nepal is placed in Group B alongside Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, Japan, and hosts UAE.
