The deceased have been identified as Durumati Gharti (81) of Barangja- 7 and her 50-year-old daughter Kumari Roka.
The bodies of the deceased were found wrapped in a piece of cloth with their throats slit at their own house on Saturday night, said local Prakash Sapkota. Locals had recovered the bodies by breaking the door of the house after it remained unopened for the past four days.
Motive behind the killing is still unknown and identity of the killers is yet to be ascertained, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Lokendra Malla.
It is said that investigation into the killing is underway.
