Two killed in tipper-car collision in Bara

According to police, the tipper with registration Province 2-03-001 Kha 0607, heading towards Pathlaiya from Nijgadh, collided head-on with a car with registration Ba 01-025 Cha 5076, coming from the opposite direction at around 3 pm.

JANAKPURDHAM, April 18:  Two people were killed when a tipper truck and a car collided near Bhuinpul in Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-16, Bara, on Friday afternoon.


According to police, the tipper with registration Province 2-03-001 Kha 0607, heading towards Pathlaiya from Nijgadh, collided head-on with a car with registration Ba 01-025 Cha 5076, coming from the opposite direction at around 3 pm.

DSP Vijay Raj Pandit, spokesperson for District Police Office (DPO), Bara, said the deceased have been identified as Jitnarayan Sah of Sundarpur, Sarlahi, who was driving the car, and Narayan Hari Sharma of Barhathwa-15, Sarlahi, who was a passenger.


Both victims sustained critical injuries and were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Maternity Hospital, Pandit said.


The tipper driver fled the scene after the accident, and police have launched a search operation.
