The embassy´s camp office in Biratnagar had recently filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Morang stating that the two were misusing the name of the office and involved in forgery. [break]Police recovered many copies of fake certificates and official stamps of various Nepali and Indian colleges and universities from the duo.
District Police Office, Morang said it watched the activities of the duo for a week before arresting them.
Police have confiscated 17 fake stamps including those of various educational institutions and universities of Nepal and India along with 2 passports, 3 citizenship cards and two laptop computers from the residence of Jha, informed Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, spokesman of the District Police Office, Morang.

Fake stamps of the Indian embassy, District Administration Office, Morang, Higher Secondary Education Board, Tribhuvan University, Office of the Controller of Examinations of Purbanchal Univeristy, Lord Buddha College in Biratnagar and RPF Inter-college of Madhupura, India among others were seized from them.
Police have also impounded a car (Ba 9 Cha 8634) used by Jha to ascertain if its ownership papers were original, added DSP Chaturvedi.
The mark-sheet of Manish Yadav, a +2 student of Lord Buddha College in Biratnagar who had secured 41.7 percent marks, was found to have been tampered with to show 73.20 percent marks, police said.
DSP Chaturvedi said the two will be charged under the law.
Jha during interrogation by police has however denied his involvement in forging academic documents. He claimed that he is an educational consultant involved in assisting students to get admission in Indian universities. He has accused his aide Agrawal of forgery. But Agrwal rejects the allegation, according to police.
