KATHMANDU, Aug 11: In an ongoing crackdown against individuals possessing fraudulent certificates, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has apprehended an additional doctor.
Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari, the spokesperson for CIB, confirmed to Republica that Dr. Shraddha Shilpkar, associated with Ishan Hospital in Dhapasi, has also been taken into custody.

Dr. Shilpkar's arrest was carried out by CIB last night at her residence in Lalitpur Municipality 18, Hattiban. The arrest is a result of an investigation into the authenticity of her high school certificates. Preliminary investigation has shown that the certificates have been determined to be counterfeit.
The ongoing operation against medical practitioners holding fraudulent credentials has resulted in the apprehension of six individuals, including a lawmaker of ruling Nepali Congress (NC) Sunil Sharma. Dr. Rambabu Yadav, Dr. Ranjit Yadav, Dr. Elina Shah and Dr. Amit Chaudhary were also taken into custody on Thursday.
