KATHMANDU, July 11: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Monday filed a lawsuit against teacher Rajesh Prasad Kurmi also known as 'Rajesh Patel' of Nepal Rastriya Lower Secondary School Gardaul, Parsa on the charge of possessing fake academic certificates. The case has been filed at the Special Court.



The CIAA during investigation found that the educational certificates that Kurmi submitted while joining the teaching profession as a primary teacher were fake. His academic certificates of secondary level obtained from Bihar Vidyalaya Exam Board, Patna, India in 1996 were found to be fake, according to Commission Spokesperson Krishnahari Puskar.



The CIAA has demanded maximum punishment against Kurmi.



Similarly, teacher Balkumari Basnet of Baljyoti Primary Secondary School at Dumarbaba of Bara, who was appointed through the relief quota, also faced a lawsuit from the Commission for possessing a fake teaching license. RSS
