JHAPA, Dec 21: Two people died in a motorcycle accident at Birtamod-6 in Jhapa district on Friday evening.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, the accident occurred along the East–West Highway near Giribandhu Tea Estate. A motorcycle bearing registration number Me 5 Pa 6222, which was heading towards Birtamod from Charali, went out of control and met with an accident.
One killed, two seriously injured in a motorcycle accident
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Bhupal Adhikari of Bhadrapur Municipality-5 and another man, estimated to be around 26 years old, whose identity has not yet been established. Both sustained serious injuries in the crash.
They were immediately rushed to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment, where doctors declared them dead, police said.
The bodies of both victims are currently being kept at the hospital’s mortuary.
