BUTWAL, Oct 24: Two people have been killed and one has been injured after an ambulance and a motorcycle collided in Butwal. An ambulance (Lu 1 Jha 287) and a motorcycle (Lu 24 Pa 3987) collided on the East-West Highway at Butwal-12 Tamnagar on Saturday night. A motorcyclist and a person riding behind heading west from Butwal were killed in the incident, according to the police.

The deceased have been identified as Anmol Thapa, 24, of Tilotta Municipality-3 and Nishan Chhetri, 35, of Saina Maina-4, according to the Area Police Office, Butwal.


Both died at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal while undergoing treatment, while the ambulance driver Surendra Murau, 36, of Gaidhawa Rural Municipality-6 was injured. He is currently undergoing treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital. The incident is being further investigated according to the police.
