Two killed, one injured in bus-motorcycle collision in Kathmandu’s Siddhartha Vanasthali

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: At least two people were killed when a bus and a motorcycle collided in Dhungedhara, Siddhartha Vanasthali in Kathmandu. They were severely injured when the bus belonging to Gorkha Daraudi Transport Company Pvt Ltd with registration number NA 5 KHA 5092, which was going from Balaju to Kalanki, collided with a motorcycle with registration number PRA 02-037 PA 0755 traveling in the opposite direction this morning.

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: At least two people were killed when a bus and a motorcycle collided in Dhungedhara, Siddhartha Vanasthali in Kathmandu. They were severely injured when the bus belonging to Gorkha Daraudi Transport Company Pvt Ltd with registration number NA 5 KHA 5092, which was going from Balaju to Kalanki, collided with a motorcycle with registration number PRA 02-037 PA 0755 traveling in the opposite direction this morning.


The deceased have been identified as Anita Thapa, 32, of Sindhupalchowk Sangachokgadhi Municipality and Ramkumar Bharti, 32. Superintendent of Police (SP) Kumod Dhungel, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Police Range, stated that both the seriously injured persons died at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, while undergoing treatment.

Anisha Thapa, a nine-year-old girl, sustained head injury in the accident. She is currently being treated at Manmohan Memorial Hospital. SP Dhungel said that the police have taken the bus and the driver involved in the accident under control and are conducting necessary investigations.
