Those arrested are Pawan Kumar Singh, 23, of Lahan-6 and Bidya Sagar Chaudhary, 28, of Lahan-7. [break]
According to Dhakendra Khatiwada, inspector at the ward police office, Lahan, the duo were arrested with Dizapam, Norfin, Avil, Fortwin and Fenagran and two syringes.
They were taking drugs with the syringes in the public toilet at the time of the arrest, Khatiwada said.
He also informed of a rampant use of contrabands in the district by the drug addicts, who are mostly youngsters.
In the past two months, at least 44 drug abusers have been detained and handed over to their families, he informed.
Meanwhile, a drugs peddler named Biki Jha, 20, of Bhanuchowk, Janakpur-3 has been arrested with 102 strips of Nitroso-N in Lokahawat, India.
All the three arrestees are under Lahan police custody.
