RAUTAHAT, June 25: Two detainees have been killed leaving eight injured in a police van accident in the district on Tuesday. The ill-fated vehicle heading to Gaur from Chandranigahpur met with an accident at Balchanpur at around 3 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Nirmal Shah aka Mukesh (20) of Chandrapur Municipality -4 and Ramesh Kumar Chaudhary (40) of Inaruwa-1, Sunsari district.

According to the police, the crown and axle of the vehicle broke at once because of which the accident took place.
Two seriously injured have been rushed to Birgunj whereas rest of the other injured are receiving treatment in the local hospital.
