I had a chance to go on two-day tour to Dhulikhel recently, which was regarded as an ideal way to learn the hospitality industry’s nature and features, while exploring spectacular natural beauty and mountainous scenery at the same time.
We started our trip from prime college by a bus with 40 people including 8 teachers. We were very excited and looking forward for the fun. It took two hours to reach to our destination.

After reaching Dhulikhel, we were warmly welcomed by Hotel Mirabel in which our booking was done. After the welcome we had some tea and cookies. Then we separated groups of three people and got the room keys and had some rest in our rooms.
After resting for an hour we were called for the reporting. Then again we were divided in two groups each containing 20 persons, after the division was done we visited 3 departments of the hotel which were Housekeeping department, Food and beverage department and Reception. The visit of the department was really exciting and the staffs were very admirable and polite. After the visit of the departments we were called for the dinner which was very appetizing and full of flavors. After the dinner we had a camp fire with music and dance which was memorable.
Then we returned to our room to sleep and were told to report at 7am in the morning. In the morning after the reporting we had our breakfast and went for hiking at Dhulikhel view tower where kali temple was also located.
After that we returned back to the hotel and rested for a while and we were called for having our lunch, after the lunch we were told to pack our bags for checkout. After the checkout we got in our bus and headed towards Kathmandu. The hotel visit was perfect for those looking to build up their Hospitality skills before taking on the more difficult aspects of Hospitality or the Hotel Management.
