Two COVID-19 patients flee from isolation ward in Bara, one in contact

NEPALGUNJ, May 13: Two patients tested positive for coronavirus have escaped from an isolation ward set up at Narayani Hospital on Wednesday. They escaped from the hospital’s bathroom, according to hospital sources. They were from Inarwa and Gusakapur of Birgunj-16.

NEPALGUNJ, May 13: Two patients tested positive for coronavirus have escaped from an isolation ward set up at Narayani Hospital on Wednesday. They escaped from the hospital’s bathroom, according to hospital sources. They were from Inarwa and Gusakapur of Birgunj-16.


According to sub-inspector Ganga Panta of District Police Administration, Parsa, one of the fugitives is still at large and the investigation is underway. One patient has reportedly come into contact with the local authorities.

A total of 39 individuals from Parsa and 40 from Bara had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. All the 40 infected were kept in an isolation facility at the Hospital. Among those, two had fled from the isolation ward.


There are 64 individuals in isolation at Narayani Hospital, including two fugitives.
