BARA, Oct 23: Two cadres of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) were injured on Monday during a clash with locals following a dispute over the construction of a hospital in Pachrauta Municipality. The dispute ensued after the locals of Benauli and Beldari insisted on constructing hospital at their respective areas.

Ramesh Yadav and Sukhari Prasad Yadav of the ruling FSFN were injured in the clash. Bara police said they had to fire around a dozen teargas shells to bring the situation under control. The cadres of FSFN were on the way to the municipal office to submit a memorandum to Mayor Ramesh Yadav urging him to construct the hospital in Beldari.

Later, a team led by locals of Benauli including Jalandhar Singh and Prabhu Patel started attacking them. Inspector Khagendra Dhamala of Area Police Office, Simraungadh informed that both Singh and Patel were of the view that the hospital must be constructed in their place.

The situation went out of control when more cadres and leaders of FSFN gathered in the area for revenge.

Mayor Yadav is from FSFN while the Deputy Mayor Indu Devi is from Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN).

The injured have been taken to Kalaiya hospital for treatment.
