TU declares holiday till Jan 24 citing COVID-19 risk

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: Tribhuvan University has declared a holiday till January 24, citing the risk of the transmission of COVID-19 infection. 


Issuing a notice on Friday, the TU Registrar's Office announced a holiday for all Departments under the university till January 24 with a plan to compensate the missed classes by reducing the holidays from winter vacation. However, the ongoing examinations of the university will be conducted as planned earlier.

Meanwhile, the classes for important subjects of the upcoming examinations will be conducted through an online method, according to TU. 


Similarly, any teacher or employee working at TU will get 10 days leave if he/ she is tested positive for coronavirus infection and the TU Campus or the office where he/she works will be shut for three days as well.
