TU approves budget of Rs 26 billion for academic session 2024/25

KATHMANDU, July 30: Tribhuvan University's Senate has approved a budget exceeding Rs 26 billion for the academic session 2024/25.


In Tuesday's meeting, University Registrar Prof Dr Kedar Prasad Rijal presented a budget of Rs 26.169 billion. The university plans to allocate Rs 13.72 billion for regular programs and capital expenditures.

Of the total budget, Rs 11.399 billion will be spent internally, while Rs 1 billion will be dedicated to development programs. The Senate has indicated that Rs 1.58 billion of the regular program expenses will be covered from internal income, with the remaining Rs 12.144 billion to be requested from the Government of Nepal through the University Grants Commission.
