DHADING, Feb 10: Body of Ramananda Prasad Yadav, the secretary of Ministry of Irrigation was recovered from the jeep that skidded off the road and plunged into the river at Salanghat of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading.
Yadav, who,was wearing his seatbelt, was found attached to the seat. According to Sanjay Timilsina, police inspector at Khanikhola Area Police Office, Yadav was driving the jeep with his 22 year son, Santosh and 15 year Unnati Gupta. Both continue to be missing.
The ill-fated jeep (Ba 2 Jha 3140) was en route to Kathmandu from Kapilvastu when it skidded off the road and plunged into the river at Salanghat, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-4 of Dhading. Yadav was returning after fixing his daughter’s marriage.
According to the Area Police Office, Gajuri, it is noted that the jeep met with an accident at 2:45 am, Saturday.
Ramananda Prasad Yadav, his son Santosh Yadav and one relative are missing while the driver of the jeep, Niranjan Yadav sustained injuries. Driver Yadav has been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment said Police Inspector Sanjay Timilsina,Khanikhola Area Police Office.
Further investigation is going on for the missing ones.
