KATHMANDU, May 23: The earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale that was recorded at 12:52 am Saturday with its epicenter in Humla was a regular quake and mild in its nature, according to the National Seismological Center (NSC) at the Department of Mines of Geology.

Humla witnessed a mild temblor as the country continues to experience aftershocks since the April 25 deadly Gorkha earthquake that killed thousands of people and injured many others.

Similarly, the aftershock measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale that had its epicenter in Dolakha was felt at 13:14 pm. Aftershocks after the major earthquake are normal and there is no need to panic over it including the one at Humla, the Department said. RSS
