RAUTAHAT, June 1: Two minors died after they were bumped by a tractor in Rautahat district on Friday.

The tractor which went out of control hit the children who were riding a bicycle. The deceased have been identified as Ram Bilas Thakur Lohar's eight years old son Chotelal Thakur and Pani Lal Thakur Lohar's 12 years old son Santosh.

They were both the residents of Khatbahiya, Gujra Municipality-6. 

The tractor (Na 6 Ta 3567) headed for Kathariya from Jungle Saiya of Rautahat bumped the cycle from behind. The accident occurred on the road at Kathariya-1. Both the children were rushed to Garuda for treatment after sustaining critical injuries.

However, Chotelal died on the way while Thakur died at Gandak Hospital when the family members were planning to taken him to Birgunj for further treatment.

Police have already taken the tractor under control while the driver is currently at large. The Area Police Office, Garuda, has intensified search for the driver.
