Tourism ministry writes to police and CIAA seeking action against Narayanhiti Palace Museum Chief

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation at the direction of Tourism Minister Prem Bahadur Ale, has sent a circular seeking action against those involved in the Narayanhiti Palace Museum restaurant scandal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation at the direction of Tourism Minister Prem Bahadur Ale, has sent a circular seeking action against those involved in the Narayanhiti Palace Museum restaurant scandal.  


The Ministry wrote a letter to Police Headquarters and Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Wednesday to take action against them including executive director of  Narayanhiti Palace Museum, Bhesh Narayan Dahal as per the decision made on Tuesday in this regard. Dahal has already resigned from his post.

Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Tokraj Pandey, said that the ministry sent the circular along with the report of the probe committee to Police Headquarters and CIAA to take action against Dahal and proprietors of B Management of BATAS Group as per the Article 147 of Criminal Code. 


Dahal had tendered his resignation from his post on Tuesday after the probe committee submitted its report and his resignation was approved on the same day.
