Speaking to Republica, party General Secreatry Kaushlendra Sharma has said that they have announced the candidates for 16 districts, including four hill districts. “We have fielded candidacies in the hill constituencies of Kathmandu, Sindhupalchowk, Kalikot and Dolkha,” said Sharma. [break]
He further added that party Chairman Yadav will contest the polls from constituency number 4 of Sarlahi.
“Vice Chairman Allaudin Ansari will contest from constituency number 5 of Nawalparasi, another Vice Chairman Khobhari Ray from constituency number 5 of Sarlahi, another General Secretary JP Yadav will contest from constituency number 4 of Bara, another General Secretary Ram Kumar Mandal is slected for constituency number 5 of Siraha,” said Sharma.
“Former lawmaker Rama Nand Mandal and three others from different parties have joined our party today [Monday],” added Sharma.
Claiming that the voters of Tarai were in the favor of his party, Sharma said, “Our party would win many Tarai constituencies as we have selected popular leaders as candidates.” He added that their party candidates have returned to their constituencies to escalate election campaign.
