Tipper operation halted in Kavre for four days from today

KATHMANDU, May 12: The tipper operation has been halted for four days in Kavrepalanchok district to make the local level election on Friday more systematic.

KATHMANDU, May 12: The tipper operation has been halted for four days in Kavrepalanchok district to make the local level election on Friday more systematic.


According to Assistant Chief District Officer Amardeep Sunuwar said that the District Administration Office (DAO) has decided to halt the tipper operation which has been operating from 6AM today to 12 noon on May 15 in view of the local level election.

Similarly, all types of vehicles except essential services will be stopped on the polling day as per the decision of the Election Commission (EC) in order to conduct the election in a free and fair environment.


Likewise, DAO has banned the sale and distribution of liquor from May 9 to May 14 keeping in mind the security arrangements during the election. The sale, distribution and consumption of alcohol has been completely banned in the district till the stipulated time.


The voters are set to cast their votes from 189 polling stations and 381 polling centers of 13 local levels in the district.
