KAVRE, Sept 20: Four local levels of Kavre district have been declared free from coronavirus infection. One municipality and three rural municipalities have reported zero cases of the COVID-19 while no new cases have been reported in the district for the last couple of days.
Mandandeupur municipality and Rishi, Temal and Khanikhola Rural Municipalities have remained free from coronavirus for now. According to the district-based CCMC, Chaurideurali and Mahabharat Rural Municipalities have reported one each case of COVID-19.

The CCMC claimed that no new cases have been detected in the district since two days ago. As many as 26 people have been freed of the infection on Sunday and 15 on Monday.
Kavre district has six municipalities and seven rural municipalities. Among 101 active cases in the district, Banepa municipality has reported 33, Panchkhal 16, Dhulikhel 18, Panauti 10, Namobuddha 11 and Bhumlu Municipality seven cases of the COVID-19. Similarly, Bethanchowk rural municipality has four people infected with COVID-19 infection, according to the CCMC.
Earlier, the recovery rate of coronavirus infection had surpassed the infection rate in the district. As many as 192 of 14,462 infected have so far succumbed to coronavirus in the district. As of now, 98 percent of the total infected i.e. 14,169 have been freed of the contagion.
The District Administration Office has extended ‘semi-lockdown’ for 10 days till September 21. Prohibition order has been enforced in the district since May 3 after the outbreak of the second wave of COVID-19. Due to the rise in the trend of virus spread, eight local levels of the district were sealed off on different dates in the past.
