KATHMANDU, June 10: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will temporarily suspend flights and landings for 30 minutes this afternoon. According to a public notice, the airport will be closed from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM for scheduled exercises. These exercises will include air flight, security, medical, and rescue protocols.
During this period, smoke may be visible around the airport due to emergency drills involving fire brigades, security personnel, and ambulance services. These activities are in accordance with standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the airport's emergency contingency plan.
