KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Stating that COVID-19 cases have been increasing once again in Nepal and neighboring countries, the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Office has stated that the distribution of visitor passes has been halted for the time being.
In the wake of the recent outbreak of the coronavirus, it has been decided that the “V-pass” will not be available unless absolutely necessary, the TIA office said.

The airport office said in a statement that due to space constraints at the airport, congestion has increased the risk of the virus, and the public is requested not to come to the airport for farewell and welcome except for the urgent work. Earlier, the office had called on the people not to come to the airport for welcome and farewell, however, it did not reduce the crowd.
The office has urged everyone to follow the required standards even during their travel.
