As per the new code, officers are expected to greet departing passengers with a polite “have a nice journey” and arriving visitors with “welcome to Nepal.” It also encourages minimal and necessary questioning, respectful communication, and a friendly tone, especially for workers departing to the Gulf countries.
Staff have been reminded that their conduct reflects the nation's image, and that courteous interactions with tourists are crucial.
To monitor implementation, the TIA has set up 15 service counters for feedback, where travelers can voluntarily submit their experience and satisfaction levels.
