Earlier on Sunday, the three leaders had agreed on resuming the parliament meeting. It was agreed between the three leaders that the PM would address the House of Representatives and that the UML would remove the obstruction in parliament. But the meeting of the House of Representatives was adjourned till Monday after the UML said it did not agree to open parliament later.

At a book-launching event on July 3, PM Dahal stated that Indian citizen Pritam Singh had visited Delhi several times to make him the Prime Minister. The UML has been demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister for making the same statement.
