KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Three people were injured when a pressure cooker exploded in Shubhkalika Rural Municipality-3, Kalikot, and there is a problem in medicating the injured people due to lack of funds.
On Wednesday morning, 42-year-old Harishova Pariyar, her 10-year-old son Ganesh Pariyar and 10-year-old Lokendra Pariyar, son of Harishova’s brother-in-law, were injured when the pressure cooker went off while she was cooking.

At 7PM, with the help of locals, the injured mother and son were taken to Kalikot district hospital. According to the ward member of Ward No. 3, Chakra Bahadur Shahi, he got the news about the incident late.
A local resident, Kiran Adhikari said that there was a problem in their treatment now although Dharma Shahi, chairperson of the rural municipality, collected some funds in the beginning and took the injured to the hospital.
Dr Ratnaveer Sunar of Health Service Office Kalikot said that two of the injured, the mother and son, are out of danger.
In a meeting of Kidark Nepal, Kalikot, held at Shubkalika, the members have collected Rs 25,500 for the treatment of the injured mother and son who are receiving treatment at the District Hospital, Kalikot .
