POKHARA: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that the people should choose between stability and instability through the upcoming elections. UML Chairman Oli, who is also a former Prime Minister, while addressing the CPN-UML Kaski district-level large workers gathering in Pokhara on Monday, said that the people should decide whether to lead the country to destruction or development through the elections.

Stating that the upcoming election for the members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the members of the provincial assemblies that is going to be held on November 20 is very crucial, he said, "This election is not an ordinary election like the previous elections, but an election that will shape the destiny of the country. What will be the future of the country, where will the country go? To lead the country on the path of development or on the path of destruction? Making the country independent or independent? It is an election to decide whether to lead the country toward stability or instability.''

Oli accused Puspha Kamal Dahal of causing instability again. "We made a single manifesto at that time. We gave the same program. I don't say this or that. But due to some elements, the country went toward instability again," he said. Therefore, he said that the people should vote for stability, development, prosperity and independence in the upcoming elections and make the UML victorious.

Oli commented that after overthrowing the government led by him, a corrupt and right-wing government led by Deuba in the name of coalition was formed. He denied the allegation of killing the constitution by the coalition. He alleged that they killed the constitution by issuing mandates contrary to the principle of checks and balances in parliamentary practice. He said, “The people gave a mandate to implement one party, one policy, one manifesto. But Deuba refused the mandate. Then I dissolved Parliament. Where does this violate the Constitution? But by issuing a decree, the constitution has been killed on the contrary. The people should answer this through a mandate.”

Oli commented that the five-party alliance is a directionless alliance without a mission and vision. Taking a dig at five manifestos of five parties, Oli said, "If the alliance wins, who will become the prime minister?" And which party's manifesto applies? Congress, Maoists? Or Madhav Kumar Nepal or Janamorcha? Such directionless, mindless, ritualistic manifestos have been brought only to confuse the people. No one should vote by being confused by such manifestos and parties.

Oli objected to the fact that in the name of various surveys, they are trying to make the UML look weak to the people by showing it as close to the Congress. Claiming that the UML will form a one-party government through the upcoming elections, he said, "Even if the government is formed by the UML, we will involve other parties, but the manifesto of the UML will be implemented."

Oli claimed that factionalism in UML is over and that there is no more factionalism in the party. "Leaders/activists are valued for their work and activities. Don't just play party songs and dance. Do not travel by road, go door to door, and reach the people's doorsteps. In that way, explain the needs of UML," he said while giving instructions.
