Tupac Shakur aka 2Pac founded The Outlawz (formerly known as The Outlaw Immortalz) in the late 90s after being released from the prison. In 1999, the group released their first album, ‘Still I Rise’ as a group with original unreleased recordings of 2Pac.
Upon Tupac’s release from prison, he recruited Mopreme Shakur (Tupac’s stepbrother), Big Syke, Hussein Fatal, Napolean, E.D.I. Mean, Kastro, Yaki Kadafi, and Storm. Storm was the only female member in the group. The group created music in genres like hip-hop, G-Funk, Gangsta Rap and more. Now, the group consists of E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble after the death of Fatal in 2015.
Nepathya to embark on first concert tour in Canada on October 1
This live event will be a tribute to the late rapper, Tupac Shakur. When asked the rapper KTM Souljah (one of the organizers) the reason behind inviting the group to play in the capital, he replied, “I started listening to them when I was very young. Luckily, due to the talks I have with them, they were ready for the collaboration.”
“I hope this will help to extend the live scene followed by the connection of various other foreign artists to Nepal. Nevertheless, I am sure this is going to be one of the biggest rap events of Nepal,” he added. KTM Souljah is also associated with Nepali rap metal/funk band, Tumbleweed Inc. beside from his solo career.
The opening acts and the ticket’s price are yet to be announced. “We will share when the time comes,” said KTM Souljah.
