KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Nepathya is set to embark on a musical tour of Canada for the first time. According to the schedule, Nepathya will perform at ‘The Palace Theater’ in Calgary on Sunday, October 1. The band will then perform at ‘The Vogue Theater’ in downtown Vancouver on Wednesday, October 4. Both these cities are in the western part of Canada. The last show of the journey will be among the audience of Toronto, the former capital of the country. On October 8, the band will perform at the Toronto-based Canada's renowned ‘Massey Hall’.

Entrance to all three Canadian cities' concerts will open at 5 PM local time, with the concert commencing precisely at 7 PM. Special discounts have been arranged for student groups at all tour concerts, with ticket sales being managed online. Tickets and additional information can be found on Nepathya's official website (www.nepathya.com.np) and social media platforms.

Since Nepalaya took over the management in 2002, Nepathya has conducted 78 programs in 28 cities across 16 countries. Canada will mark Nepathya's 17th destination country.

Canada has recently become an appealing immigration destination for Nepalis, with an increasing number of Nepali students choosing the country for their studies. As the population grows, various Nepali organizations are organizing a range of musical programs regularly.

"This is likely the first time that the Nepali community here is presenting a Nepali artist at a prestigious event venue like Massey Hall," commented Rabin Thapaliya, a Nepali citizen living in Canada.

Aligned with the idea of presenting all Nepathya's performances throughout the year 2023 as a series of humanity promotion campaigns with the slogan 'Music for Humanity', this year's Nepathya Canada series will also continue under the same slogan.

The Canadian trip will involve eight experts who participated in a series of tours to Japan last month, along with a team of 14 people, including the manager and six musicians. "Even though Canada is a new destination for us, we are greatly encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by Nepali residents living there," said Amrit Gurung, the band's leader and lead singer.
